Norwegian Visit
We were delighted to welcome a fantastic group from Norway who are exploring plans to establish a Foyer in Tromsø.
It was a real opportunity to share learning, exchange ideas, and talk about what truly makes a Foyer.
During their visit, they spent time in our supported accommodation at Trinity Court, meeting our teams and seeing first-hand how we support young people to build positive futures.
They learned about Advantage Thinking and were inspired by the young people they met - their resilience, their ambition, and their determination to shape their own pathways.
One message stood out for them. While safe housing for young people is essential, it is only part of the story. What makes the real difference is wrap-around support - support that connects safe housing with wellbeing, mental health, employability, learning, and life skills.
Because at Aberdeen Foyer, we don’t just support young people to be safe. We support them to thrive, feel connected, and build a future full of possibility.
We look forward to seeing the Foyer approach continue to grow internationally and wish our Norwegian colleagues every success on their journey!
