Ken's big walk from shire to shore
Ken Milroy retired in August 2018 as CEO and founder of Aberdeen Foyer, a role he held from April 1996. “To mark my retirement I set myself a challenge to walk across Scotland from my home at Ballogie, Aberdeenshire to visit my sister at Lochgilphead.”
Transforming futures
Over 2 years, with the support of the H&M Foundation through End Youth Homelessness, we have been able to make a difference to 136 local young people, many of whom had multiple barriers making it very difficult to start training or get into work.
One Peterson
Aberdeen Foyer is really pleased to have been chosen as One Peterson’s Charity of the Year for 2019.
The Foyer wants to end youth homelessness and poverty in the North East. Monies raised by One Peterson will help us achieve this.
Donation from SVS
Specialist Valve Services based in Westhill made a donation to the Foyer of £1,123.75 following a charity auction held at their 20th Anniversary dinner dance. Leona McDermid received the cheque from Gerry Henry SVS Managing Director.
