Aberdeen Foyer welcomed Christian, Maddox, Jack, Dylan, Isla and Jess at Marywell Centre. The 4th year pupils from Robert Gordon's College chose Aberdeen Foyer's Nightstop community housing initiative as their charity of choice for their Youth Philanthropy Initiative (YPI) project.

As well as presenting about Nightstop to a panel of judges, with the hope of winning a grant of £3000 for the charity, the group were keen to come in and volunteer with the Foyer. Graham McCulloch from the Communities Team supported the young people as they took on organising the music room: they organised the equipment and gave the space a general clear out.

Megan Douglas, Co-ordinator for Nightstop North-East Scotland said:

"When we're contacted by a YPI group, we're instantly massively grateful as it helps to raise the profile of Nightstop. We're always looking for more Hosts who can offer a spare room to a young person in need. The young people we support are low-risk and we offer 24-7 on-call support to young people and Hosts during their stay.

The pupils we had in from Robert Gordon College were brilliant, they were really keen to help, they did a brilliant job in our music room, and they asked great questions about our Nightstop project."
