CEO Sleepout 2026
We’re really proud to share that our CEO, Leona McDermid, will be taking part in the CEO Sleepout at Pittodrie Stadium on Thursday 16th April. Braving the cold outdoors in solidarity with young people across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire who don’t always have a safe place to call home.
At Aberdeen Foyer, we know homelessness is about more than housing. It’s about belonging, connection, and the right support at the right time. Every year, more than 800 young people locally face homelessness, each with their own story, strengths, and potential. In recent years, we have also seen an increase in the number of young people experiencing homelessness, including those aged 16 and 17.
Leona is taking part in this challenge to shine a light on that reality and raise vital funds for Aberdeen Foyer to support our ongoing work with young people and families.
The CEO Sleepout brings together people who are willing to step outside their comfort zone to make a difference. It reflects something we hold close as a Foyer: when people come together with compassion and belief in others, real change is possible.

This is one more way we can collectively stand alongside young people and help ensure they feel safe, connected, and supported to build their own positive futures.
