JH no place like home photo competition

Jamie Hutton has won a Housing Support Enabling Unit (HSEU) photography award in the category Community – Individual with his entry: Feeling on Top of the World. Jamie is working with Foyer housing, the Outreach group and REACH in Inverurie. He is a delighted and proud young man!

Jamie said, “As part of my recovery and wellbeing my fantastic support worker and her beautiful dogs have been encouraging me to get out and about.  As an avid walker myself it was time to get out of my comfort zone and I planned the challenge of climbing Bennachie.  This was a difficult and steep climb but once finally at the top I felt good and was proud of our accomplishments. I am now looking for the next mountain to climb.”

All of the entries to the competition help HSEU raise the profile of housing support and the important role it plays in people’s lives. The awards will be presented at the Better Futures for All event on Thursday 22 November 2018 at the Lighthouse in Glasgow.

(The aim of the HSEU is to offer support and assistance to providers of housing support in the voluntary, private and Registered Social Landlord sectors.

The HSEU is a joint initiative of Coalition of Care & Support Providers in Scotland (CCPS) and the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations (SFHA).)
