Fundraising for the Foyer is an excellent way for your company to promote team building, increase staff motivation, improve your visibility in the local community and hit your CSR targets. Boost staff morale and encourage team work by staff organising their own fundraising activity or event. Plan a variety activities from cake sales to a quiz night; the more imaginative the better.
Do you have a charity of the year? Supporting the Foyer over a longer period of time will make your staff feel more invested in our work. It also opens up opportunities for joint working and a mutual understanding of each other's aims and objectives.
There are lots of different organised fundraising events you can join in with as an individual or as a company team, big or small, check out our events page for more information.
We have a range of different sponsorship opportunities at the Foyer which can be tailored to meet your company objectives. Sponsorship provides the opportunity to raise your profile at a specific event or to contribute directly to one of our programmes or services. One example is sponsoring our Prince's Trust Team programme running in Fraserburgh, Peterhead and Aberdeen City. Please contact us for more information.
Payroll Giving - an easy way to give and get tax relief on your donation
With Payroll Giving you can make a regular donation to charity directly from your pay which is easy to do and tax effective.
Your company simply needs to sign up to a Payroll Giving scheme, if they haven’t already done so, you can authorise them to deduct a set amount from your pay. The Payroll Giving agency will then pay your donation directly into the Foyer’s bank account.
For more information on Payroll Giving please follow the link to HM Revenue & Customs website http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/individuals/giving/payroll.htm
The tax relief you get depends on the rate of tax you pay. To donate £1 in Scotland you pay:
- 81 p if you’re a starter rate taxpayer
- 80 p if you’re a basic rate taxpayer
- 79 p if you’re a intermediate rate taxpayer
- 59 p if you’re a higher rate taxpayer
- 54 p if you’re a top rate taxpayer
