Learn 2 Earn

Learn 2 Earn is a community based programme aimed at providing anyone who lives in a Housing Association or Housing Co-operative property in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire with support to source training, education and volunteering opportunities. This will hopefully increase future employment options. A small number of tenants from council housing are also able to participate in the programme.

We recognise that everyone is different so our staff take a flexible approach to agreeing what support each person requires. Where we are unable to provide direct support ourselves, we work with you to set up contact with organisations that can help.

Our flexible approach means that we can provide access to a wide variety of training and education opportunities.Some examples of what we have provided for other people include:

• College courses -  help choosing, funding and support while studying
• Retail Skills  training
• Pre-employment  training (creating CV's, letter workshop, mock interviews  etc.)
• ICT training from  Computing for the Petrified up to full European Computer Driving License  (E.C.D.L)
• Digital  Photography
• Using modern  gadgets effectively
  

This programme is funded by the Scottish Government and delivered by Aberdeen Foyer in partnership with Grampian Housing Association, Castlehill Housing Association, Tenants First Housing Co-operative and Langstane Housing Association.
