integrated community drug service (ICDS)
The ICDS is a support service funded by the New Opportunities Fund and Aberdeen City Council bringing together the expertise of four key voluntary sector organisations in Aberdeen City - Aberdeen Cyrenians, Aberdeen Foyer, Drugs Action & Phoenix House.
The ICDS provides a package of support via a keywork service to people in Aberdeen who have taken steps to change their drug use and work towards a healthier and positive future. Supports on offer include the provision of drug counselling, advice and support on housing, budgeting, debt and other social issues with an emphasis within Aberdeen Foyer on support towards education, training and employment. Staff working within the ICDS will work alongside colleagues involved in Prescribing, Pharmacy, Care Management and other Community Rehabilitation and Support Services.
At this time, referrals to the service are via G.P. Practices. If you are interested in finding out more about referral please speak to your nurse or G.P. Practitioner.
