Highly skilled Education and Training Support Staff can help young people develop new skills to improve chances of moving into a job, further education or training place of their choice.
The team challenge and push young people to achieve their goals through:

- help with IT skills
- basic skills support
Whether you are a tenant at the Foyer or attending a training course, we can offer activities from the list below all of which form the Education and Training services. These linked pages will inform you of the opportunities available.
• Learning House - based in Peterhead providing a wide range of free training and support to people who might otherwise not be able to access resources
• Prince’s Trust Team - a 12 week development programme to support young people enhance their confidence, motivation and team building skills
• ICDRS - Aberdeen Foyer offers employability support as a partner organisation in the Aberdeen Integrated Community Drugs Service
• Lifeshaper - a community rehabilitation initiative for those who have had alcohol/drug problems and are ready to take the next steps towards education, training & employment
• Get Ready for Work -
The programme is designed to assist young people who may need additional support to make the transition beyond school into the world of work.
• Training for Work -
Training for Work provides training support for people who are unemployed, 18 + and actively looking for work.
• IT classes - provided by Aberdeen College
• Tenant Support & Development - working with our core group of young tenants and as part of their action plan to provide and support into independent living
• ILA Courses - Aberdeen Foyer is a Learndirect Scotland approved provider and have on offer a range of training courses which can attract ILA funding to help meet the costs.
• Get Into Retail -
Get Into Retail is one of The Princes Trust Get Into programmes. A get Into Course aims to give young people aged 16 - 25 who are work ready but do not have the vocational skills the opportunity to develop the relevant vocational skills and or experience to enable them to move into a sustainable job in a specific sector of work
